Profile
A flourishing talent of millinery, the design and creation of whimsical headpieces and hats, and a dream to interweave fantasy within the fabric of everyday life, has made Kerrie Stanley a commercially viable and talented milliner. Her work is expressive, beautiful, theatrical and often daring, but always inspired by a variety of stimuli, taking cues from musical theatre, costumes and vintage.
Kerrie's flexibility designing for fashion, bridal and racewear markets means she enjoys partnerships with rising star labels Mathieu Salem, Jason Grech and Craig Braybrook and she continues to have a successful relationship as a stockist with Myer. With an impressive total of fifteen Fashions On The Fields winners, her winning designs are informed by her seventeen years experience as a fashion hair and makeup artist.
Kerrie has stepped into the role of judge for Fashions on the Field and has cast her eye over contestants in Sydney (Golden Slipper), Brisbane (Stradbroke Day) and will be judging the Designer Category on Melbourne Cup Day 2008 at Flemington.
As Australia's most awarded milliner, Kerrie is sure to create a showstopper for any fashionista.
